we human animals need connection and community. We all want to belong. we were never meant to do life alone.
Yet, somehow we did away with many of the traditions that forced us into community, and now we forgot how to come together in life giving ways. Hiding inside our phones in public space, we avoid small talk, and sticking to old meeting formats, we sit through hours of unproductive time together. We often go through big and small life transitions in silence, or using commercialised rituals stripped of meaning. I am here to change this and help you bring magic back into our midst.

I have been creating moments of magic for as long as I can remember. As a child I co-founded the Montessori Democrats, performed dances at every family gathering, and enlivened my mom's living room parties. That same impulse grew into initiatives such as Meer Lieve Brieven - a community of anonymous letter-writers - and Fifteen Minutes of Fame weekends, where people found connection with each other in new ways.
Today I work as a ritual designer, gatherer, and life coach, building on my 15+ years of experience in international activism and social change. I design and hold space for moments of wonder and magic: big and small life transitions, all kinds of grief, community, and our deep longing to use our time well. This also means I want our work meetings and collaborations to be more meaningful and effective. I work with individuals, neighborhoods, peer groups, teams, and organizations — in Dutch and in English, in person and online.
My roots are Sundanese-Dutch and I see myself as a modern tukang jamu - a woman that goes door to door selling herbal medicinal drinks. My medicine is presence: creating the conditions for magic to happen, for inner doors to open, for something in us to come alive and enable us to find one another. We need each other and I aim for us to experience being truly together, with soul, and to honour life's impermanence.
